Hi, my name is Marc Lapierre and I really want to welcome you to this site.
I’ve been around for a while (too many years to count actually) and done many things in my life so, rather than bore everyone to death, I’ll make it short – something that people who know me know is very hard for me to do. By professional deformation, I have a tendency to ramble – so here goes!
First, the unimportant stuff. I’ve been a senior banker (30 years), and international consultant in developing countries (10 years), and an internet marketer.
Now the important stuff! I’m married to a great lady, have two super kids and a four-footed best friend and, just a couple of months ago, I bought an ‘03 Chevy Tracker.
How I wound up with a tracker is a bit of a story because I certainly didn’t start out with the intention of getting one. The first posts on this site give a run down of how this all came about and hopefully, make fun reading.
Since we’ve had the Tracker, we’ve had a blast with it and I thought that it would be kinda fun to put up this site to interact with other Tracker and Sidekick owners. My goal is to set up a gallery where members can post pictures of their “Pride & Joy” as well as their story.
As I write this, winter is setting in so I won’t be doing much now, but come spring, I intend to get down to customizing my Tracker a bit.
Since I got it, I’ve looked around on the web and boy, some of the things people do with these great little machines is unbelievable. I read that they’re rugged, easy to mod and reliable and they sure must be to take some of the punishment off-roaders dish out.
I’m probably a whole lot past the age for that sort of adrenalin pumping action, but I still get a thrill each time I climb into mine.
Rather than bouncing around mountains, through the forests or slogging through streams, I’ll just enjoy plowing through the snow we get up here in the Great White North (Canada).
I hope that you enjoy the site and feel free to drop me a note. I’d love to hear from you.
